What’s the latest update from the ABR about SA-CME?

The ABR has discontinued SA-CME

To satisfy Continuing Certification (MOC) Part 2, the ABR requires diplomates to attain 75 CME credits every three years.

SA-CME is no longer a part of this requirement. As of January 24, 2024, the ABR has discontinued it's SA-CME requirement.

The ABR states: OLA has proved to be a robust self-assessment tool. Effective 2024, although Category 1 CME is still required as detailed above, "self-assessment" is achieved through OLA and is not required when obtaining CME.

Therefore, Medality will no longer offer SA-CME courses. However, Medality remains an accredited provider of AMA PRA Category I TM credits.

We will continue to provide CME for all eligible courses on our platform. For detailed instructions on how to redeem your CME on Medality, please click here.
